After an early
breakfast drive
south to Timna
Park, a large
park that sits
in a beautifully
majestic desert
setting.
It has an
amazing history
and geology.
There are also a
number of
unexpected
activities
including those
on the lake
(yes, a lake in
the desert!). It
covers about
15,000 acres in
a
horseshoe-shaped
valley
surrounded by
steep cliffs,
with Mount Timna,
the world’s
first ever
copper mine,
standing tall in
the center.
Lunch at Dead
Sea Area.
Next we visit
Masada, Masada
has so much to
see including
the impressive
desert getaway
palace of King
Herod,
an underground
water cistern,
an ancient
monastery, a
Roman bathhouse,
and much more.
More riveting
than its
archeological
features is the
story that took
place in the
small synagogue
renovated by the
Sycarri zealots.
After the
destruction of
the Second
Temple by the
Romans, a group
of Jewish
priests who were
rebelling
against the
Romans Emperor
escaped to the
mountain plateau
fortified 100
years prior by
King Herod.
Visit the Ahava
Factory and
proceed to Mount
Scopus for a
view. Drive to
Jerusalem.
Proceed to tour
of the Western
Tunnels.

late dinner in
our Hotel after
the tunnel tour,
so please have a
heavier lunch,

so you can eat

This is the most

religious site
in the Old City
of Jerusalem.
Next we visit Davidson
Centre and
Jewish Quarter,
followed by the
Temple Institute
where the items
are produced for
the Temple
Liturgy.
We then explore
the City of
David.
The City of
David is an
Israeli
settlement and
the
archaeological
site which is
speculated to
compose the
original urban
core of ancient
Jerusalem.
We will be
trekking through
knee deep water
in King
Hezekiah's 2,700
year old water
tunnel, one of
the wonders of
early
engineering.
Take the
Canaanite Dry
Tunnel.
Continue to Pool
of Siloam, where
Jesus healed the
blind
man.
Dinner and
overnight in
Jerusalem.

This morning, we
visit Caesarea
Philippi, the
location of one
of the largest
springs feeding
the Jordan
River.
This was where
Peter made his
confession of
faith in Jesus.
Explore Tel
Dan, the
source of water
of the river
Jordan and have
a short walk
through the
refreshing
natural reserve.
Head to the Mount
of Beatitudes. The
so-called
“Sermon on the
Mount” is
recorded in
Matthew 5-7 and
Luke 6.
The Mount of
Beatitudes is
also understood
to be the place
where Jesus met
his apostles
after his
Resurrection and
commissioned
them to “make
disciples of all
nations”
St Peter’s
Primacy –
The church where
tradition
believed that
the resurrected
Jesus appeared
to the disciples
at the Sea of
Galilee. Next,
visit Capernaum,
a village on the
northern side of
Sea of Galilee.
It was the
centre of the
activities of
Jesus and his
town during that
time.
